Iggy az Én első munka vonalú border colliem /de nagyon úgy érzem, hogy nem az utolsó/.
Mikor haza hoztuk az volt az első dolga, hogy leszaggassa a függönyt. Na ekkor már tudtam, hogy nem egy Zeusz vérmérsékletű /anya pedig megijedt, hogy egy raptort hoztunk haza/.
Egy hihetetlen okos, gyors felfogású kis munkagép. Apportos, mindent visszahoz, amit eldobok neki. Játékkal és jutalomfalattal is rávehető bármire. Ezen kívül imádnivaló, nem tipikus kan, általában a legtöbben szukának nézik... :D Pikk-pakk megtanul bármit, clickerrel tanítom a bizonytalan vagy nehezebb dolgokat neki, rövid időn belül rájön mit szeretnék tőle. Annyira látszik a fején ilyenkor, hogy forognak a kerekek, hihetetlen értelmes. A család pedig általában nevet azon, ahogy ülünk egymással szemben, csöndben, Én várom, hogy Iggy mit reagál, Ő pedig forgatja a szemeit és agyal. Más kutyákkal és macskákkal is jól kijön. Az emberekkel is barátságos, kivéve, ha munka van, mert olyankor 100%osan a munkára koncentrál és nem szereti, ha közben megzavarják. Addig nem áll meg, amíg azt nem mondom neki, hogy "pihenjünk egy kicsit". Focizni szoktunk velük, amit szintén imád. Benti környezetben, a házban is kulturáltan viselkedik, ha mászkálunk követ minket, lefekszik és figyel. Nem tett még kárt semmiben, jól alkalmazkodik, abban is biztos vagyok, hogyha a házban hagynánk több órára sem történne semmi, az ágyamban aludna. A középhosszú szőrének köszönhetően nincs túl melege lakásban és egyáltalán nem vedlik annyira, mint mondjuk Zeusz.
Az agilityt egészen kis korában elkezdtem alapozni és nagyon gyorsan tanult, ügyesedett.
Rendszeresen járok vele agility szemináriumokra, hogy fejlődjünk.
Több alkalommal mentünk vele terelni és tehetséges, kis energia befektetésével gyorsan meg lehet tanítani komolyabban. A 2013-as év végén eljártunk vele rendszeresen tréningre és ennek eredményeként sikeres terelő munkavizsgát tett a rövid felkészülési idő dacára.
Az utóbbi időben elkezdtem neki trükköket tanítani és kiderült, hogy neki ez is megy. Sokáig úgy hittem, hogy nem fogékony az ilyen dolgokra, de miután 1 perc sem kellett, hogy megtanítsam mindkét lábbal pacsit adni, vérszemet kaptam. :D Mostanra már számos trükköt tud és nagyon szereti csinálni őket.

Iggy is my first, but surely not my last working-line Border Collie. His first job when we brought him home was to tear the curtain off. This is when I knew he was not a Zeusz-kind-of-dog and this is when my mom got scared that we decided on bringing a raptor home.
Iggy is an extremely smart, quick minded workaholic. He apports anything what I throw him. He can be motivated by both treats or toys. He is lovely, but not a typical male, many people would think he is a bitch. :D He learns anything easily, but the more difficult tricks I teach by using the clicker, that he understands almost right away. He is unbelieveably smart, you can kind of see the thoughts passing through his head. He loves other dogs and if he isn't working, he kind with people, too. If there's work he absolutely concentrates and work very hard until I tell him "OK, have a break". He's the best agility dog for me. (Maybe I am biased against Iggy a little. :D) I have 3 cats and no problem with them. We often play football with our dogs and they love this. He likes being in the house, he usually sleep next to the furniture or next to me in my room, here. He never demage the furniture or something else. I'm sure If we leave him in the house for a few hours, he wouldn't demage things, he would sleep in my bed. He has nice figure and ideal medium coat. Thanks for his medium-size coat he feels confortable in the house and he don't leave his hair too much as Zeusz.
I have started teaching him the basics of agility at a pretty early age. He learnt it all fast.
I also attend agility seminars on a regular basis with him to learn new techniques.
We also tried herding with him multiple times in which he is also talented, so with just a little attention he could even learn it all at a higher level. The end of 2013 we trained hard for a few times and despite the short preparation time he passed the herding working test.
Lately I started teaching him tricks and Iggy seems like enjoying it a lot. I used to think he was not the one for this kind of activity but when I tought him giving both paws within a minute, I got eager on clicking. :D Since then he learnt many tricks and loves doing them.
